APPLICATION RULES
Here at Forbidden Twilight, we like characters. In fact, they're what makes Role Playing possible. However, when it comes to characters, we have some rules in regards to their applications and general playability.
1. CANONS
Each player may have up to 3 Canon Characters. However, a player will be on a 3 week trial basis before they can keep said character. A player will have 3 weeks to RP with them, in which they must prove that they are able to play that character properly and frequently. Players with Canons MUST post with their Canons AT LEAST once a month. Players may only apply for ONE Canon at a time, and may apply for another one if they have proven themselves after the three week trial period.
2. GUIDES
Please read our guides. We took time and effort to make them for your use. The guides outline what we expect from each application, so please take time to read and understand them. If we see that an application has failed to comply to our standards, they will be denied. As mentioned, do not constantly ask our staff to review your application, we will get to it. That includes PM'ing us and asking in the Xat chatbox. The Staff have their own lives, and we can't spend our entire live looking out for new apps.
3. EVENT CHARACTERS
These can be applied for when needed in a sub/mini/normal plot. You can use the character for the duration of the plot, and that's it. If you wish to keep them you will have to apply normally for them. You don't need to post an RP Sample for them. In the application, please put [NPC] or [EVENT] in the subject header to notify the Staff.
General Application Rules
BANKAI
For Shinigami and Vizards, Bankai is allowed. HOWEVER, if a player decides to apply for a Bankai, said application has to be well presented. A character with Bankai is powerful, and it isn't something we like to give out. An application must be magnificent in order to achieve this, and the Staff will be critical of Bankai-hopefuls. Characters must be at least 250 years old for Bankai.
DUAL-WIELDS and DUAL SPIRITS
Very few characters in the Bleach Universe have dual-Zanpakuto and dual-Spirits, and we'd like to keep it like that. However, we do allow players to apply for either of the two, provided that they show us an amazing application. Applying for both dual-Zanpakuto and dual-Spirits is possible, but again, we are looking for a flawless application.
SEGUNDA ETAPA
Arrancar are allowed to apply for Segunda Etapa, however, the drawbacks of applying for that is even greater than Bankai and dual-wield combined. Applications must be completely and utterly flawless, and will be given one chance to change it to Staff satisfaction before Segunda Etapa will be denied. Also, only if you're character is a Commander or Espada may they even app for it. Please note that you should use Segunda Etapa in only the most dire of circumstances.
Quincy: Vollständig
Quincy are allowed to apply for a Vollständig initially, but it has the same aparameters as Bankai. It's just better if you apply for it after developing your Quincy.
SEATED POSITIONSYou may apply for a seated position inside your app, BUT you are not guaranteed to get the position. If you are worthy of the position you will get it, but if you're application doesn't meet expectations you will be given a rank that the Moderator reviewing your application feels you deserve. This also goes for Numeros. However, this does not include Captains and Lieutenant seats, as well as Espada and Commander positions.
CANON RELATIONSA character cannot have any form of relation with a Canon character that would force their player to automatically know said character. We don't want our players to do something they don't want to, and if that includes knowing your character, then so be it. Build up a relationship through Role Playing. That means no Canon family members, love interests, Fraccions, or loyal Subordinates. For Fraccion and Subordinate positions, you can sign up for that separately.Other Application Rules
CREATING A CHARACTERTry not to make your character so tough and buff. The stronger you try to make your character, the harder we're going to review it, because we don't want to see 17 Yamamoto's walking around. Plus, strong characters are the people who'll most likely godmode. Try to make a character who has their strengths AND weaknesses clearly explained.
CHOOSING A RACEAs most people know, Vizards are one of the strongest of Races, and is usually a favorite. So that means that with the Vizards, we will be extremely hard on the application and nit pick, simply because they have potential to be the strongest with Shikai and the mask alone. There will be no hybrids, unless for storyline purposes, so don't ask for one. Vizards with a Bankai, Mask, and Ressurcion will be denied instantly. I've had enough of Tosen. The more power you put into your character, the more work you have to put in your app.
Quincy are a rare to be found, because compared to Shinigami and Arrancar they don't have much power, right? Wrong. They can be just as powerful as the Arrancar, and Shinigami. Actually, they're my favorites personally. They are actually very interesting, because they don't like hollows, but don't like Shinigami either. So you could go both ways with them.
Arrancar are the opposite of the Shinigami. Most people consider the the antagonists, but that is not completely true. Nel helped Ichigo, yet she was an Arrancar. So you are free to make them nice, or the stereotypical evil villains. It's all up to you, we just do the reviews.
Shinigami are the default characters, the first anyone thinks of. You can make one that just graduated, or a seated officer who know their Zanpakuto's name. Note that we will review more harder on higher ranks.
CANON-COPIES
Copies of moves, names, Zanpakuto spirits and their abilities will not be tolerated. The application will be instantly denied, and moved into archives. In some cases, a warning may be given by the reviewer, though it is up to the person reviewing the application whether or not the application can be fixed or not.
AGE
- Humans - They can range from 8 to 130. Anywhere in between is acceptable, but please don't go any higher.
- Quincy - They can range from 8 to 170. You may go up to 180, but that's the highest.
- Shinigami - The ideal age should be from 100 to 200. Remember 100 to learn your shikai, 150 to master it. 200 for Bankai, 250 for Mastery.
- Vizard - The Same as Shinigami.
- Arrancar - You can put them at any age you want however the lowest you may go is 100.The highest you may go is 1,000, though we do suggest sticking to the 400's.
PERSONALITYThe best way to create a good, flowing personality is to take two or one basic aspects and make everything branch out from there. For example, Mashiro Kuna is childish and likes to scream on the floor. So you could mention why she is childish, and the childish things she enjoys. You could also mention the things that make her scream and roll on the floor, like how Orihime befriended Hachi. But that of course is not her whole personality. Try not to make crossing personalities. Like they are kind, but they hate people. That would just make no sense.
Appearance
Pictures are always helpful, but try to only allude to them. Try to explain your character's looks with words, not just put a picture. Describe their hair, their clothes, their color tone, etc. Describe as detailed as you could possibly make it.
POWERS
WEWT! THE POWERS! Yeah, not EXACTLY!
HumanFeel free to put any kinds of powers here. Fire balls, lightning, ESP, wings, etc. However, if we sense that your ability has a chance to become god mode we will ask you to change/edit it. Because, again, god modding is not allowed whatsoever.
QuincyAs with humans, Quincy are limited in their abilities. They'll have some form of a bow to match with the Shinigami/Vizard/Arrancar's transformation Bankai or Resurrección. Thus, you can feel free to be creative here, but as stated above, don't forget to limit your abilities. If you make your character too powerful, the less likely it will be that they will become acceptable to the board.
Spiritual Weapon - refer to Quincy Application.
Quincy: Vollständig - should only have three abilities, though nothing drastic.
ShinigamiConsidered the heroes in Bleach, Shinigami have a variety of techniques, abilities, and power ups at their disposal. Remember; try to have you Shinigami limit their selves to one to three abilities in Shikai, and normally the same amount in Bankai. However, if you were to create an attack that had several sub attacks, it would be more acceptable.
ArrancarMost of what was said for Shinigami can be said in the same sense here, for Arrancar. Bankai are equivalent to Resurrección Segunda Etapa, so remember the same rules, standards, and expectations apply. I have so decided that you must be a Commander or Espada to be able to use Segunda Etapa.
VizardPlayers who apply for Vizards will be judged the hardest, because they are thought to be one of the strongest races. They have both Shinigami and Hollow abilities, and three transformation possibilities; Hollow Mask, Shikai, and Bankai.
Shikai - We would like you to limit yourself to a maximum of four abilities. Almost every canon character in Bleach has very few abilities.
Bankai - The same as above.
Hollow Powers - Remember that your Inner Hollow will also have these abilities when they take control of your character. Cero is an exception, but telekinesis with sword, and Beserker mode only happens once your character's Inner Hollow takes over.
Inner Hollow Abilities - Sometimes, when an inner hollow takes over, it's possible for another ability to pop up. But be creative don't just keep adding more and more abilities.
Remember; the stronger you make your Vizard, the more we will expect out of your application completely.
Ability Format - When posting an ability we would like you to use this format:
- Type -
- Range -
- Limitation -
To use it all you must do is use the name before the list, and describe it. Then use[ul]

HISTORY
For original characters, it would highly depend upon your race. For Humans, you would need to put their whole life growing up, more detail in Human Application Guide. For Quincies, it is quite similar except you would add how they attained their powers, who taught them, their training, and if any of her living relatives are Quincies.
For Shinigami you should put their human life (though they won't remember it), life as a Rukongai Soul, early academy life, learning zanpakuto's name, and so on and so forth. For Arrancar you would need life as a human (though they do not remember it), life as a soul, as a hollow, Menos, and Adjuchas.
Vizard would consist of their human life (though they don't remember it), as a Rukongai Soul, Shinigami Life, learning zanpakuto's name and so on and so forth, Hollowfication, current life as a Vizard. Be creative don't just put the generic stuff, and don't make your character almighty.
