Guren Shimō - WIP

Appearance:

Guren stands at 6"2, with a very lean build. He weighs at around 147lbs, which is pretty skinny for his height. His arms and legs are long and limber, though he moves with the grace and posture expected of nobility.

His casual wear consists of richly made garments, usually white, pale blue or light purple in colour. Despite being a shinigami, he isn't affiliated with the Gotei 13, unlike his older sister, Gemma, so he does not wear a shihakusho. When he goes to the Human World with Gemma, he wears an expensive plum-coloured button up, with black pants and black shoes.

Guren's physical appearance has caused some confusion amongst others. His face is narrow, with a pale, smooth complexion. His eyes are blue, like Gemma's, though his is more of a mixture of blue-purple. His hair is purple, and is extremely long and falls past his waist even when tied up. There are some bangs that fall over his face, usually brushed to the side, with two long strands that frame each side of his face. On the end of those strands, there are pale blue ribbons that that decorate them. In short, Guren has a very effeminate appearance that could give Yumichika a run for his money.

Personality:

Guren is similar to Gemma in some ways. He is spoiled, selfish and vain. He enjoys the life of nobility, and splurges on only the best things for himself. He treats money as if it didn't exist, because to him, money is no question. Such was the life of a rich noble. He does have a very narcissistic personality, and is often complaining about his appearance, especially his hair. Guren is extremely overprotective of his hair, believing that it's colour, length and style is perfection when it comes to hair styles.

Guren does have a strict code of rules that he lives by. It goes as such:

There are some things that Guren loves dearly, and one of those things is music. Guren loves music with all his life, and believes that any time is a good time to sing, write or listen to it. He is exceptionally skilled in the koto and shamisen, and is learning how to play a normal, six-stringed guitar. When it comes to singing, Guren does have a pretty impressive vocal range.

Another thing Guren loves dearly is dancing. Give him a song, and he can probably find a way to dance to it. He loves dissecting a song, figuring out it's tempo, rhythm, beat and melody, just so he could dance. He learned how to dance to pretty much everything through formal lessons, the best money can buy. He extremely dislikes those who don't appreciate music or dance, and wishes that they kill themselves if they are 'unable to keep up with the beat'.

His relationship to his family is...complicated. (Will finish this paragraph when I decide what to do with this guy)

Gakutou Miburi (Beautiful Music Sword)

Gakutou Miburi is a long katana, with a 31" blade and a 8" plum-coloured handle. The blade itself is silver in colour, sharpened and polished once a week. The tsuba is shaped like an equilateral octagon, with each side 1.5" long. The sheath is unique, as it is navy blue in colour, but has a light blue circle in the middle, with a line the same colour extending through the middle of the circle to each end of the sheath.

Zanpakuto Spirit:

Gakutou Miburi's appearance is similar to his master's. He is very effeminate, attributes that are considered a sign of nobility back in the day. He has a smooth face, with stained lips, purple earrings and long, purple hair that falls past his knees. His eyes are purple, similar in colour to his master’s. His clothes are those similar to the garments worn by nobles of the Heian era, called a Kariginu. On his head, he wears a tall, black cap, called a tate-eboshi. He wears a crimson coloured undershirt (similar to a kosode, but called a hitoe), and over it, he wears a long, white garment that falls over his chest and back, and ties around the waist with a belt. Attached to this piece are two, flowing sleeves that seemingly stays in place, despite not being attached to anything. His pants are turquoise hakama, and are extremely poofy, and he wears white tabi on his feet.

Unlike his master, Gakutou Miburi is childish and playful. He especially enjoys nagging Guren, and randomly hitting him with his fan. He speaks in a very feminine-like voice, but hates it when Guren calls him a ‘girl’, despite being effeminate-looking himself. He’s very temperamental, and throws tantrums when he doesn’t get what he wants. Guren seems to enjoy Guren's music, and continues to motivate him to make more. He particularly likes calling Guren 'Gu-chan', and Gemma 'Gem-nee'.

Inner World:

Guren's inner world is an open Japanese courtyard with tall, cherry-blossom trees. However, instead of sakura blossoms, the trees are decorated with various pink music notes and wind chimes that sound more like a flute than chimes. It is always day, with a slight breeze that causes the notes and chimes on the trees to make quiet noises.

Shikai Appearance:

When Guren releases his zanpakuto, the single blade of his katana transforms into two blades, equal in length and width as the original. The two blades are side-by side with each other, about an inch apart, giving the sword the appearance of a tuning fork. The two blades glow bright blue. On the pommel of the sword, a small charm of eight, blue eighth note appears, each about an inch big, and an inch apart on a blue chain.

Guren uses his sheath in conjunction with his sword to use his shikai abilities. The circle design on the sheath glows blue as well.

Shikai Abilities:

In shikai, Guren's offensive abilities are most effective when there is sound around. This is a passive ability, called Senritsu no Onsa (Melody of the Tuning Fork). The louder the sounds, the stronger his offense becomes, which is signified by the glow of his blades. His sword glows brighter as the sound gets louder, increasing the sword's strength and cutting abilities. However, the opposite is also true. If there is little to no sound, his sword weakens, and the glow dims.

Hyōshi (Rhythm)

Limitations:
Due to Senritsu no Onsa, this attack is most effective with a lot of sound. There is a cool-down of three minutes before the glow of the blades return. It has a range of fifty meters, any further, and the attack simply dissipates. He can only shoot in a straight line.[/ul]
Hankyō (Resonance)

Range: 50 meters
Limitations:
This technique only works in one direction, and the affected area is in a 90 degree angle in that direction, with a range of 50 meters. The closer an item is to the source, the farther it will be pushed away at a maximum distance of seventy meters away (ie, if something is in front of him, it will be pushed back seventy meters. Alternatively, if something is fifty meters away, it will be pushed back twenty meters). He can generally only push objects away from him, as well as people up to three tiers below him. Any higher than that, and that person would barley budge. However, they can still be affected by the noise it makes, which is pretty annoying (though Guren thinks it sounds melodious). The sound wave lasts for thirty seconds, with a two minute cool down before making another one. If he looses either the sheath or sword, he will be unable to use this technique.[/ul][/blockquote]Bankai Appearance:
