Age: 375 years as an Arrancar
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Zenkai
Appearance:
[The one on the right]Personality:
Keiyo is 5'6" and 128lbs, making her of slender build with a slight but well-proportioned hourglass figure. She wears the typical white arrancar hakama, but with slightly longer openings at the sides, revealing more of her pale skin. The black belt of the hakama partially covers her arancar hole that is just above her right hip. Her black tabi socks go up her ankles and she wears fingerless grey gloves over her slender hands. Her top is short-sleeved and crumpled, much like Grimmjow's, but it comes together over her breasts with a black boobtube underneath to cover them. Her stomach is left uncovered. The back of her top is extended like a cape which runs down to mid-calf.
Her mask remnants are three hair clip-like extensions on the right side of her hair, much like Sun-Sun's, though instead of the curve being like an 'n', it is more like a 'u' - as if the mask has been flipped vertically. Two of the three 'clips' are attached together - the top two, leaving the third slightly separated from them.
Her hair is pure white and reaches her mid back even while being thick and wavy. It is like this naturally, and never has nor never will be seen to have it straight. She never wears it up, even going as far as to let it get in the way of her soft, pale blue eyes, though it is unlikely to happen.
Keiyo has a rich inner world that is not usually obvious to observers. She constantly takes in information about people and situations that is personally important to her, and stores it away. This tremendous store of information is usually startlingly accurate, because she has an exceptional memory about things that are important to her. It would not be uncommon for her to remember a particular facial expression or conversation in precise detail years after the event occurred, if the situation made an impression on her.History:
She has a very clear idea of the way things should be, which she strives to attain. She values security and leadership, and respects traditions and laws. She believes that existing systems are there because they work. Therefore, she's not likely to buy into doing things in a new way, unless she's shown in a concrete way why it’s better than the established method.
Keiyo learns best by doing, rather than by reading about something in a book, or applying theory. For this reason, she values practical application such as sparring with a partner. Once the task is learned, and its practical importance is understood, she will faithfully and tirelessly carry through the task to completion. She is extremely dependable in this sense.
More so than her twin sister, Keiyo is extremely aware of her own internal feelings, as well as other people's feelings. She does not usually express her own feelings, keeping things inside. If they are negative feelings, they may build up inside until they turn into firm judgments against individuals which are difficult to unsee, once set. Just as Keiyo is not likely to express her feelings, she is also not likely to let on that they know how others are feeling. However, she will speak up when she feels another individual really needs help, and in such cases she can truly help others become aware of their feelings.
Keiyo feels a strong sense of responsibility and duty. She takes her responsibilities very seriously, and can be counted on to follow through. For this reason, other arrancar naturally tend to rely on her, especially her twin sister. In such cases when Keiyo feels over-burdened, she does not usually express her difficulties to others, because she intensely dislikes receiving help from others, and is too proud to ask for it. She is often called optimistic in this sense as to get through it she tells herself everything will be okay if she just focuses.
Because of Keiyo's sense of duty, the one thing she cannot tolerate is people who she considers 'cowards' - those who run away from their responsibilities. She hate's these kinds of people, but on the other hand she doesn't praise those who do take their duties seriously either. So she also hates those who accept their death without a fight, as it goes against her way of living - continuing your duties till the very end no matter what.
Even though she seems like someone to be all work and no play, she actually loves to go out to the human world and 'borrow' a set of tight fitting jeans, a black tank top and a white jacket similar to her arrancar top to go window shopping with her sister. They get all kinds of looks, mainly because of the visible hollow fragment and her almost albino appearance, but she doesn't seem to notice or care either way.
On the outside it may seem like Keiyo hasn't got much to be scared of, but there is one thing that she fears - losing her twin sister Kyoki. If she senses any danger towards her sister, she instantly feels worry for her even though she knows she is capable of looking after herself. In times this can cause some trouble for her, especially when fighting, but Keiyo always reassures her that she is fine, allowing her to focus on her enemy.
The birth of unknown darknessOffense: Advanced
When Keiyo was a human, she got along very well with her twin sister, almost as if they were meant to have been one person. What made it even stranger was the fact that they were almost the complete opposites, from hair colour to personality. They showed the people in their neighbourhood that even those who aren't remotely alike can get along, and were accepted by everyone as the neighbourhood stars. Out of the two of them, she was the more active personality type - the one who asked the more questions, took on the most jobs and was more forward in her speech. Even so, she never left her quieter sister's side, deciding it was up to her to help protect her.
At the age of 15, they started developing extra sensory perception, and were able to see spirits floating around their neighbourhood. They only told each other about it, deciding to keep it a secret from everyone else as they didn't want to ruin their 'stardom'. Instead they made more friends with the dead than the living, and started to become more and more detached from the humans.
Eventually, they had no human friends and only talked to the spirits which roamed around their neighbourhood. They were labelled 'outcasts', even though nobody knew why they had become so, but this didn't deter Keiyo. She was still strong willed and kept Kyoki positive. But this created darkness within them - a deep hatred for humans.
At the age of 17, they had finally been left alone by the humans and were just ignored everywhere they went except for by the spirits. There was one particular spirit - a young boy about the age of 10 who followed them everywhere, who they had made friends with over the years. It was because of him that they became hollows.
It was a normal day - with clouds in the sky, but it was neither hot nor cold and there was a slight breeze. They were walking along a brick wall, arms held out either side for balance and the young boy floating behind them happily. That’s when the hollow attacked. It quickly brushed Kyoki aside and advanced towards the boy. All he could do was quiver in fear, but Keiyo quickly charged at it, trying to shove it aside. It didn't even flinch at her attack, and swiped at her with a fist, hitting her against the floor. Through narrowed eyes she managed to see the hollow grab the spirit boy, and this purged her on to stand. She ran towards it, hand clenched into a fist as she swiped at it over and over. It was futile - she was a human girl up against an adjucha. It dropped the boy, and she took the chance to yell at him to run. He did as he was told, leaving the twins at the adjucha's mercy.
It grabbed her with its large hand, almost able to wrap his fingers around all of her torso. She twisted and squirmed, trying to loosen its grip but it was pointless. She cried out as there was a loud 'crack' - her ribs were broken. He dropped her to the floor where he turned to step towards the unconscious Kyoki. She could only lie there, blood running from the corner of her mouth as he proceeded to pick up her twin sister. Just as he had done with her, he wrapped his fingers around her torso, only this time, his thumb was pressed against the side of her head. Her eyes widened and she screamed at it, ignoring the burned in her chest. But it was all in vain. He gave one quick press against her head, snapping her sister's neck.
As he dropped her crumpled body to the floor, her spirit was pulled out with a chain attached to the body. Kyoki's spirit lay, still unconscious, next to the body. The adjucha turned to Keiyo, slowly stepping towards her. She tried willing her body to move, but all she managed to do was push herself up from the ground. The adjucha grabbed a bunch of her pure white hair, holding her up in the air in front of him before throwing her to the ground. She coughed out as the wind rushed out of her broken body, and lay on the verge of death. She took one last glance to her unconscious spirit of her sister before closing her eyes as the adjucha stomped on her.
Death didn't last long
As she opened her eyes, she was floating just above her body and the adjucha was reaching out to her. She quickly tried running over to her sister, but was held back by a chain attached to her chest. Her eyes narrowed before she glanced one last time to her sister. She cried out as she pulled on the chain, at the same time as reaching out and pulling on her sister's. The pain was unbearable, but she gritted her teeth and continued to pull on it. The adjucha seemed to realise what she was doing and ran towards her, but it realised too late. They were engulfed in a flash, and as it died down, the two spirits were replaced by a serpent like hollow
Merged as one - [Picture].
Even though they had both merged and transformed into a single hollow, the adjucha wasn't undeterred and continued to go ahead with the attack. The hollow, formally known as Keiyo and Kyoki, stayed still, waiting for the adjucha to attack. At the last second, when the adjucha was in mid-swipe with its fist, they ducked and wrapped the end of its tail around it's forearm, and with one swift movement, tore it off. The adjucha roared out, clutching it's new stump in surprise. It was a smart hollow, and knew that the fight was ended, so it used garganta to escape to Hueco Mundo.
The serpent hollow stayed within its neighbourhood, devouring small time spirits until the time came when it wanted more. It used garganta to enter Hueco Mundo for the first time. It stayed within the desert for several years, eating what it could find and sometimes returning to earth for spirits when supplies were low.
Evolutions
One day, it fell into the forest of menos. At first it was weary of the large hollow, but after a quick observation, it realised they were brainless soldiers. It managed to devour one of them, but there was a gathering and it quickly merged with many more hollow, losing its original form and becoming a menos grande.
But because of its strong will, it somehow managed to keep its consciousness together, as one hollow. It used its new size and power to attack and eat the other menos grande. It was just another part of hollow life as they continued to eat more and more hollow, gaining strength and power over time.
After several years, it eventually evolved into an adjucha, reverting back to a more human form and gaining some of its human conscience back. It remembered vaguely some of the things that had happened that day, but mainly the face of the adjucha that had killed them. With the image burning in its mind, it returned to earth to search for it.
Revenge
It took over three months of desperate searching until they found it, close to where it had killed them. It looked almost exactly as it had when they had died, especially as the adjucha was holding onto the spirit boy and was about to eat him. They quickly attacked, making it drop the boy who sat on the ground, once again too scared to move. The adjucha was still battle-scared from their last fight, so they knew it was the right one, but the adjucha had no idea who they were.
They quickly swiped at it, slicing a wound along it's chest. It didn't have time to blink before they continued the attack, biting at its mask. But it managed to hold them back, inches away from its face. But they had the strength of two adjuchas in one, and slowly pushed closer to its face before finally, they were able to bite down on its mask. It cried out and tried pulling back, but that was a mistake. They jumped forward, snapping at its mask continuously until they got a grasp. They kept taking chunks out of it as it tried to escape, and eventually, it crumpled to the floor defeated.
Birth of an arrancar... or two?
It had become stronger in order to defeat that arrancar, but now there was nothing. They had no reason to become stronger... That’s when it looked towards the still quivering spirit boy. It's eyes narrowed. Humans... That would be their reason. They would get stronger in order to wipe out the humans and those who protect them. With this determination, they returned to Hueco Mundo in order to get stronger.
Rumours spread along the land - a new power was available from an ex-shinigami captain. They were weary. They had come across a few shinigami in their life, and knew of their power, but this was something they couldn't miss out on. They travelled the forests in search new ruler, and when they were found, it was as if the team had been expecting them. They were led to a secluded spot, where they were told what would happen. There was no backing out now - it was this or die. They prayed to whoever could be listening before they were locked away, mask removed and waiting.
When it was time to emerge, no one was there to greet them. The war had soon ended, and all was quiet. This was a first. Two arrancar's born from one hollow, but they were naive to their uniqueness. They were curious if it halved their power, and set about running some tests once they were up and sorted. Even though it seemed to them that a hollow had split in half somehow, Keiyo and Kyoki knew better. They showed off their new power to hueco mundo, explaining to themselves that they were originally two spirits, and had gained the amount of power needed for two hollows to evolve into the next form, even though there was only one body.
Defense: Beginner
Mobility: Intermediate
Reiatsu: Advanced
Intelligence: Intermediate
Physical Strength: Advanced
Arrancar Powers:
Meterialisation: Keiyo just loves to shop, so where else could she go other than with the humans? To do this, she compresses her reiatsu to create a 'shell' around her - making her visible to even ordinary humans and lowering the reiatsu she gives off (making her seem many ranks lower than she is).Zanpakuto:
Reflection: Instead of converting an absorbed attack into rieatsu like her sister, Kyoki absorbs the attack and fires it back at the opponent. The highest level of power she can absorb for this skill at most is an espada's cero. But she cannot reflect anything higher at all.
Snow/Ice manipulation: She can create weapons from the snow/ice that are concentrated high enough to actually act like a real weapon like a sword or a drill. Also she can do more than manipulate the snow/ice; she can create it as well. Normally snow is a soft, fluffy material, but she can make it a solid matter. She can make it as sharp as any blade and she can form and mold it into whatever....well not whatever, mainly weapon trasnformation.
[As seen in picture]Zanpakuto Representation: Polar Bear
A pure black Dao, with a white hilt and no guard. It has five rings attached to the edge of the blade, almost like ear piercings that are used primarily for decoration, though it has been known that she has used them to distract her enemy. She keeps it's sheath on her back where she can easily reach it and it's out of the way.
Release Phrase: "Slice, 'Waiinone''
Ressureccion Appearance:
She breaks a ring off and the sword shatters. The 'dust' of the blade swirl around her, hiding her from view. Then as it dispates, it reveals her resurrected form. Her top is very similar to that of her sealed form, but the sleeves have been replaced by a short white fur coat. The sleeves cover her hands in padded claws, and the main body of it only reaches to the end of her ribs. The bottom half of her outfit has shortened to a mid-thigh skirt, with her black boots reaching to her knees. Her hollow mask becomes a headband, with a set of round, white ears.Ressureccion Boost:
Her weapon changes into four fan-shaped blades, though if two were to be put together, they would create an oval, rather than a circle. She carries one on each side of her wrists, with the longer end furthest from her hand. The points just reach past her fingers tips, and end at her elbows. Between the two blades on each wrist is a space of cold mist, covering up whatever may be holding them in their place.
Her Hierro becomes drastically stronger.Ressureccion Abilities:
Energy Conversion: This becomes much more stable, allowing Keiyo to absorb more attacks. Keiyo can now absorb low level kido, (up to #50). Meaning if someone fires a Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire) or somethng similar, she can absorb even if it didn't come from their zanpakto. Keiyo can absorb a total of 8 cero type attacks. Any more than that will cause severe damage to her.Sample Post:
Reflection: Instead of converting an absorbed attack into rieatsu, Keiyo immediately absorbs the attack and fires it back at the opponent. The highest level of power she can absorb for this skill at most is eight ceros. This is also included for kido attacks, but she cannot reflect anything higher than #50 and it is unstable (Much like Renji's).
Congelación cero: In her ressureccion form, Keiyo's cero merges with the snowy mist on top of her wrists. Rather than a wide radius blast, this particular cero resembles more of a wide arrow. If it connects with her opponent, it has the same effect as a gran rey cero, but because of it's small form, it's less likely to hit her target.
"Keiyo... It's been over five hours now... Maybe we could stop for a rest?" Kyoki's subdued voice was barely audible among the crowds of the shopping centre as people rushed past her in all directions. She couldn't help to wonder how hard it must be for a lowly human to go about daily chores as she looked upon the strained faces of mothers and the older generations of the humans. Something tugged inside her chest and she looked away from the faces of those around her. They were so innocent and naive; there were two killing machines walking around among them, who could very easily kill every one of them in a matter of seconds, and yet they carried on walking, smiling unbeknownst to her melancholy.
She wasn’t sad for them. It was just kind of pitiful that there was nothing the humans could do about it.
”Relax Kyoki... I'm almost done here..." Keiyo slowed her pace so her twin sister could catch up. When they were walking side by side again, she reassuringly held onto her hand. "Don't worry; I'll keep my end of the bargain too..." Kyoki seemed to instantly lighten up, forgetting her depressive thoughts and looked to her sister with renewed vigour. The thought of being able to see a sunset allowed her to continue tolerating her sister's lust for shopping, but she still wanted that rest.
Hueco Mundo was a beautiful place to some. An endless white sea of sand, a moon among the never ending darkness, glowing in all its brilliance on the creatures below. Although Kyoki had nothing against their homeland, there was nothing more that she loved than seeing the sun fall beneath the horizon. It had been that way ever since she could remember, and figured it was a built in instinct from her previous life. Just as Keiyo loved shopping, which was an obvious weird trait for an arrancar, Kyoki’s passion forced her to return to the human world, which she supposed was her real homeland.
Keiyo looked to Kyoki and sighed before stopping and looking around. It wasn't hard for her to tell that Kyoki was still being stubborn about a rest, but she felt no harm in spending some time relaxing for a while so she caved in to her sister’s silent persistence. Her eyes narrowed gently as she scanned the inside of the building, aggravated at all the humans scurrying around in the way of her view. She would be more than happy to exterminate these little 'bugs', but she knew she couldn't draw attention to herself or Kyoki, especially since they left with Grimmjow when they betrayed Aizen. Now, not only were shinigami and a select few vizard after them, but also a handful of arrancar and espada alike.
"Let's go outside, Keiyo..." Kyoki had also looked around, and even though it was hard to tell because of all the bodies moving quickly in every direction, she couldn't see anywhere they could sit and relax. Keiyo sighed heavily before sagging her head in defeat.
"Fine... Let's go." Kyoki's face lit up. Maybe if she could persuade Keiyo to stay outside once they got there... The thought made her bubble inside and she couldn't hide her joy as they made their way through the crowds to the exit.
As soon as they stepped out of the building, both of them had to raise their hands to shield their eyes. The sun bore down on them with an intensity only known to happen in the summer, and Keiyo couldn't help but feel relieved that they had chosen clothes for such weather. She looked down and smoothed out her short asymmetric skirt that was as white as her hair, which was as always left to its own devices. Kyoki was almost the opposite of her, in the sense that she wore a black asymmetric skirt with the hem running in the opposite direction.
Keiyo was so distracted by the strange familiarity of this world’s sun that it took her a while to notice someone was tugging softly on her black tank top. She glanced next to her to see her sister looking ahead at an unknown presence. "Keiyo... somebody's here..." she said softly, finally prying her eyes away to look at her twin. Keiyo gritted her teeth, irritated at the thought that someone was going to ruin their only day out in months. She instinctively reached out behind her where her sheath was, only to close her hand around a sword handle that could only be seen by those who would’ve been able to see them for what they truly are. Her sister’s reiatsu perception was something to be proud of – there were very few who could hide from her.
"Tch... let's go..." And with those few words, they turned on their pumps and started a quick walk through the crowds towards a secluded park, where they lay in waiting to see what the intruder would do...
