The Menos forest was quiet around a certain large tree. It was huge compared to others in the forest, one would almost assume it was a Menos Grande by the size of its trunk. At the bottom of the trunk, a hole was present. Not a large hole, one wouldn't even notice it unless they knew where to look for it.
From the hole a strange creature emerged, strange compared to the other creatures of the forest. Its silver fur was seen as the it stepped on its bandaged paws. The torso covered by a silver vest over a black shirt. The wolf like head had an extra set of lower jaw bones over its mouth, it looked almost as if the jaw was exposed. As the wolf fully emerged from the hole, it shook the dust off, and jumped from the hidden hole.
*Yawn* The wolf opened his mouth, yawning as he landed a few feet from his hole. He stretched out, his mouth closed, and he stood on all fours looking around.
What to do today? He thought as he walked nowhere of any great importance. It was quiet as always, no Hollow dared to come near his territory, his tree of life. That's what they called Samyeru's tree, it was here that they feared for their life and where he granted others freedom.

It was eerily silent. Almost as if any being in the near vicinity either died or fled. Harribel would have thought the area was completely deserted, if not for the strong spiritual pressure that lingered. It was a sole being, and she was asked to find it. For this particular recruiting, she decided to go alone. While she knew her subordinates were powerful in their own right, there was a chance that a battle could start, and Harribel couldn't risk it.
Especially after the last time.
Walking through the thick forest, the blonde stopped in her tracks as she spotted a large, silver wolf. Was that it? From the spiritual pressure, it certainly was, but she certainly expected more. She had thought it was an Arrancar, but so far, it looked like she was wrong. But the bony jaw on the wolf made her reconsider her conclusion. A wolf-Arrancar?
"Are you the Arrancar that resides here?" she asked, stopping close enough for a conversation, but far enough as if to say, 'No, I don't want to fight. Let's talk over tea and biscuits.' Yet despite her intent on simple talk, she knew full well that there were many Arrancar that wouldn't pass up the chance for a good fight. Remaining vigilant and alert, she waited calmly for the wolf's response.

Suddenly Samyeru smelled a woman nearby, he turned his head toward the scent and spotted a strangely dressed woman. She kept a good distance, but made sure she could be heard. "Yeah, this is my territory." He shifted to his more human form, keeping his silver hair but the scar across his nose was more visible.
He stood tall, keeping his distance away from Halibel. "You're different from other Arrancar I've encountered, please state your business." Quick to the point, Samyeru didn't trust his own kind for very long. His solitude was the one thing he wanted here in the forest, which is why he kept the Hollows away.
He sat down in an Indian seat, crossed his arms, and waited for her response. His silver eyes kept locked on hers, not wavering. He didn't want to fight anyone, but he showed no fear of fighting. He felt she didn't want to fight either, so he relaxed a little. Sighing, he scratched his head. "I'm Samyeru Fenrir by the way."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Harribel said in a monotone. But before she could say anything else, the wolf-thing changed into a man, and she instinctively reached for her sword, albeit discreetly. "You're very blunt, aren't you." she added, lowering her arm. "Very well, I'll tell you my purpose. I came to recruit you. You're strong. Your mere presence here causes this area to be deserted. Hollow fear your strength, don't they?" she asked, although she probably already knew the answer. "I've been tasked to look for powerful allies, and I've located you. You turn into a wolf. That could be a useful ability."
Oh, she had almost forgotten her name. Since he already told her his, it was only common courtesy to do the same. "My name is Tia Harribel, Ter-" she stopped, just before she said 'Tercera Espada'. She had gotten used to adding the line after her name, now that she was no longer an Espada, she had to stop doing it. "Well, what do you think, Samyeru Fenrir?"

He sat there, listening to her purpose, but was not interested. "They fear the unknown, the known, and death. Hollows have many fears if they fear me it's not my problem." Samyeru sat calmly as he kept his watchful eyes on his guest. She was sill wary of him, which is fine by him, one less person to get close to him.
He almost laughed at her reason for seeking him out, recruitment for some gang. "I think you need to work on your recruitment speech, cause that explained very little to me." He said stretching his arms as if he was getting bored, they hit the tips of his nunchaku that he wore around his neck.
"Look, you're not the first to come here trying to get me in some kind of group. The Tercera Espada came here not too long ago seeking me for the Espada. I'll tell you what I told him." He said standing up from his seated position, dusting away the dirt from his pants. He looked back at Halibel with a bored but serious expression on his face.
"A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others." He spoke from the heart as those words came from his mouth. To defend others was his purpose, even if he was neutral at the time. He lived by this code for so long, it sunk in to his core.

"The Tercera Espada?" she asked in curiosity. Aizen had replaced her already? Last time she remembered, it took quite some time to find replacements the top four Espada. It took a few years before she replaced Neliel. "Did he tell you his name? And do you know anything about the Primera?" She could tell Starrk who his replacement was...if there was one. Not like he'd care anyway.
Harribel sighed, "Forgive my vagueness. I'm not particularily good at this. she said truthfully, although her voice and body still remained expressionless and motionless. If Aizen had tried to recruit him, and failed, then this was her chance...if she could pull it off. "If I understand correctly, you wish to protect others. I'm assuming that you protect not only Arrancar, but Humans and Shinigami too? In a way, I suppose it is an honourable look on battle." she remarked, "Aizen might have tried to recruit you to go against the Shinigami, as well as the Humans, but that isn't my purpose. In brief, my reason for joining this was for my own protection, as well as for my subordinates, against Aizen. I raised my blade against him, and I fear he wishes me dead." the ex-Espada continued, "Although my reasons and Starrk's reasons might be different from your own, perhaps you can find a way to protect others through it." she said. She tried to sound sure about it, but she didn't have the slightest idea what Grimmjow's plans were.
Talking to others about these things were not Harribel's forte. But if she didn't do it, there was no way in hell that Grimmjow or Starrk would. Sacrifices had to be made, and she supposed that this was hers.

He listened to her speak, this time she had more to say, but he could tell this isn't her forte. "Yeah he did. Hercule Baton if I remember correctly. Cool looking guy, like a human beetle, and he had a pretty looking secretary with him. We would have fought if it wasn't for a schedule conflict." Samyeru said as he recalled all he could about the new Tercera Espada, but the question about the Primera caught his ears.
"The Primera, I think the girl said something about him. Called him emo or gothy, but didn't say a name." He shrugged it off as if the info was something he didn't care about. This was just a front, he knew deep down that he will have to enter this war at some point in time, but which side to pick.
"I prefer my neutrality in this war he cooked up, though your reason intrigues me. I might consider your recruitment." He started with a smirked face thinking on how different Halibel is from other Arrancar he encountered. However his face turned serious once he truly began to think about his situation here, if he really wanted to choose a side.
"But, who leads this group of yours, you, this Starrk guy, or someone else?" He was curious as to who did lead this renegade group of Arrancar.

"Its been awhile, hasnt it? Former Tercera Espada." The emotionless tone of the Primera echoed through the area as Ulquiorra appeared at the scene. " It seems Hercule's report was accurate. Even the menoes seem to vacate this area due so a single being. I felt it'd be best to come and investigate myself, and here I find the Former Tercera attempting to do what Hercule failed at. Tch." He approached the man...wolf...He approached Samyeru, a cold look that was ever present in his emerald eyes. "I've no intention of recruiting you. I've simply come here to investigate." With a simple motion he turned to Halibel.
"As for you. I bare no grudge toward you, nor Starrk, nor Grimmjow. But I suggest you leave, least Lord Aizen becomes aware of your presense. If he hasnt already." He took a few steps away from the two, as if to let them choose what to do next. His eyes scanned the area. Takin note on the radius at which the menos stayed back. Of course, this data would be overall contradicted. For this area of clearence may have grown with the presense of two more Espada class Arrancar. On the Tercera and one the new Primera. It was an interesting area nonetheless. Hercule you fool. If you werent able to recruit him, then you should have killed him. While a minor threat compaired to the rest of the Espada, he poses a threat nonetheless. As for Grimmjow, even I am unaware of what he could be plotting. Allowing him to get ahold of someone this strong is foolish. His eyes narrowed as he thought. Should I have to clean up your mess Baton, you WILL hear about it upon my return.

"Hercule Baton." Harribel repeated. There was a man in the Tercera position. That was a first. "Emo...and goth?" The new Primera was emo and goth? There was only one person she knew that fit that description, and in fact, she felt his presence nearby.
Speak of the devil.
"Ulquiorra. she said in a low voice just as the aforementioned arrancar arrived. She made no motion, showed no expression as Ulquiorra showed up at the scene. She knew that he wouldn't just attack with no reason, nevertheless, she remained on her guard. And again, The title of former Tercera was brought up once more. Harribel closed her eyes. "You've been made the Primera. I suppose it makes sense." Well, considering that the first and third had left, and the second was dead, he really was the prime candidate. "Although I must admit that I thought Ichigo Kurosaki proved to be your undoing."
She turned back to Samyeru. "His name is Grimmjow Jeagerjaques. I'll leave you to think about it." However, before she departed, she appeared before Samyeru, the booming sound of a Sonido echoing through the air. She stood beside him so that only he would be able to hear what she said, "I would advise you to move to a new location. You have refused to align with Aizen, and they see you as a threat. Ulquiorra is powerful."
And with that, Harribel crossed her arms once more and disappeared into the thick forest.
[An exit of sorts. If this turns into a fight, she'll come back.]

Another one, man I just wanted to go for a walk. He thought as the scent of the new arrival filled his nose, it was truly something else. Not like Halibel's, she smelt nice. Ulquiorra smelt different, strange, and unwelcome.
Evidence was plastered on his face that he was not happy as he watching the short conversation between the two. It was so interesting how the body language between the two were, but then she came over at him with a Sonido. Samyeru was not happy that his personal space was being invaded and now he was being advised to leave. He watched as Halibel left, leaving with the name of the leader of her group.
He can't do that, this place is sacred. It held so many memories that he couldn't just leave. He needed to make a choice, leave or defend his home. He locked his silver eyes on Ulquiorra, he could tell this man was strong, but he made up his mind. "You need to leave. This is my home and you are not welcomed." His words were stern and to the point. He put his guard up, the hair on his head stood on end, and he waited for a response.

the cold Espada eyed Halibel, almost insulted by her comment. "As did he. However, I could never be killed by some human turned hollow. The very though is ridiculous."
After finishin his observations he turned to watch Halibel depart. Not catching her last words to Samyeru, Ulquiorra felt a need to point out a few things about Grimmjows group. "Halibel, the former Tercera Espada. Grimmjow, the former Sexta Espada, and Starrk, the former Primera Espada. Those are the people who are trying to recruit you." His monotonous voice echoed across the area.
Narrowing his eyes as Samyeru's demand, the Primera still stood there, his hands in his pockets, undaunted by his words. "You are in no posistion to be making orders. You've not only rejected our offer, but you are also a potential recruit for a problematic group that we've little patients for. You arent stupid, so I'm sure you are aware of the logical thing to do is." His cold emerald eyes seemed to stare into the wolf arrancar's very soul.

"I'll reject or join anyone I want to, cause unlike you I have my freedom." He keeping his guard up as he said these words. One thing about him is that Samyeru is free, but still in his own personal cage. Death surrounds him, that why he keeps to himself not letting anyone close.
Samyeru didn't back down, he kept his glare at Ulquiorra. He was unwavering and his silver eyes revealed it. "It was more of a suggestion but that still means you need to leave." He didn't care about organizations or this war between the three powers. What he wanted was his solitude, and neutrality was the best choice for that.
Samyeru made sure not to do anything too drastic or something that can be perceived as a threatening movement. He didn't want to fight someone this strong, he'd have to resort to something he didn't have much control over. He was in a great position right here, knowing the landscape, plus his speed was unmatched so far. If I must defend my home I will. That thought echoed through his head as he kept a watchful eyes on Ulquiorra just encase

"Idiot. We live in a kill or be killed world. You either kill those around you, or become the victom or someone else, or worse. The victom of regression. While the fear of regression has been greatly reduce with the evolution into Arrancars, those who live in the wilderness must still kill to survive. Albeit the Gillian and Adjuchase avoid you now out of fear. But the time will come when their unending hunger for power will override what little common sense they have, and they will come for you. That is not a life of freedom.."
He grew tired of explaining such simplistic notions to someone who only wished for a life of solitude. He figured that Grimmjow, being the stubborn one that he is, wouldnt give up on this wolf just yet. "I'll extend Hercule's offer once more, join the ranks of the Espada." One last attempt would suffice, should he refuse, then he would be forced to get rid of this minor pest.
